Thanks to you, we have reached our $25,000 goal on November 30. But you can still donate and we appreciate any additional support you can offer.
Your donations contribute to our advocacy efforts for quality, high-speed internet for schools, libraries, health centers, and other public institutions, particularly in vulnerable & rural communities.
At the SHLB Coalition, we believe that community anchor institutions (CAIs) are essential for providing high-speed internet access, education, health care, and other vital services to millions of Americans, especially in rural and underserved areas.
CAIs may include schools, libraries, health clinics, community colleges and higher education, community centers, public housing, and other public institutions that promote affordable high-speed internet access for vulnerable populations.
They are the backbone of communities, large and small, across the country. Because they support the needs of all community members, they are trusted leaders and essential drivers of social and economic development.
As we strive to reach our $25,000 goal for Giving Tuesday, we're launching a campaign called #AnchorsRock to raise awareness about the vital role anchors play in closing the digital divide and support SHLB's work in advocating for them.
On top of that, to celebrate Giving Tuesday, we're launching a giveaway with some cool prizes. The winners will be randomly drawn once we reach our $25,000 goal.
The giveaway winners are:
You rock! Thank you for helping us close the digital divide one anchor institution at a time. 💙🌐
